Abstract
Due to the changing world, and the increasing development of information and communication technologies, new ways of teaching have been leveraged, which have brought with them new teaching strategies that allow to adapt the teachinglearning processes. GeoGebra software is a tool that allows to dynamize and transform mathematics classrooms into small mathematics laboratories, in order to motivate and awaken interest in mathematics, its visualization and applications among students. The teaching of Differential Calculus in secondary education in the Dominican Republic, it is very common to use texts where the predominant approach is its algebraic representation discarding other interpretations or representations, reason why students do not feel interested in understanding the most important concepts of differential calculus. Many researchers have highlighted the complexity of basic mathematical objects, especially the derivative, and the need to teach the meaning of the different parts of these objects and connect them together for their understanding. In this paper we will show how with the support of the APOS theory (Action, Process, Objects and Scheme) and GeoGebra software, it will be posible to relate the meaning of the different parts of the mathematical object, derivative, in terms of the thematization of the scheme and the level of development of such scheme, and the interpretation, graphical representation of such mathematical object.
