Abstract
The objective of this Curricular Integration Work was to develop the artistic school garden as a didactic strategy, with the purpose of promoting intercultural coexistence among the students and teachers of tenth grade of the "Enrique Malo Andrade" Educational Unit. Through observation and field experience, it became evident that there is little diversity in the use of artistic languages in the educational environment, since interactive activities that allow direct contact with nature, the preservation of ancestral knowledge and the development of creativity through the implementation of new artistic projects within the institution are not developed. This situation gave way to the creation of artistic school gardens as a didactic strategy that allowed the development of imagination and creativity of boys and girls in the 10th grade of Basic Education of the aforementioned Educational Unit. Integrating educational spaces outside the classroom allowed the children to develop new knowledge through art. The qualitative approach was used for this research, which allowed the analysis of data based on the experience of the subjects (10th grade students). The artistic school garden gave positive results, strengthening the creativity and imagination of the 10th grade students and we are convinced that this proposal can be put into practice in future artistic projects within the institution.
