Abstract
The development of emotional intelligence is very important for the human being, this must start from his first years of life so that he can face the emotions raised in different moments such as: anxiety, stress, depression, conflicts, anger, anguish; emotions that erode people and generate a bad school environment, low self-esteem, poor academic performance, behavioral and learning problems. It is important that the teacher prioritize the development of emotional competencies within the classroom with students, adapting an appropriate methodological process interlaced with the educational curriculum with which personal skills are strengthened: self-esteem, self-regulation, self-motivation, and social: empathy, social skills, in each of the students, through ludic activities with which assertive communication is prioritized, conflict resolution, strengthening attention and concentration, modifying moods, increasing the perception of control, self motivation and demonstrating a significant improvement in their coexistence.
