Abstract
In the context of Youth and Adult Education, there are several aspects to be addressed in order to guarantee lifelong education. This research focuses on the intensive modality of Youth and Adult Education, a program that seeks to ensure the incorporation of young students and adults who, for different reasons, have stopped studying. In educational practice, this program has generated difficulties in contextualizing the curriculum and responding to the inherent needs of the adult student population, especially due to the short time available for such an offer. From there, this work was approached with the objective of enhancing the attention to the learning needs of people with unfinished schooling from the micro-curricular planning of the subject of natural sciences at the level of Intensive Higher Basic Education of the UEFSA Guachapala Extension. With an interpretative paradigm, qualitative approach and under the case study methodology, it establishes that students with incomplete schooling present educational insertion mismatches, significant school lags and require compensatory interventions and/or support translated into learning needs such as: awareness of economic, family and labor factors that influence adult education, flexibility of time and resources, collaborative learning strategies, peer learning, autonomous work, communication skills, leveling, personalized tutoring, diversified learning strategies and linkage with the environment. From there, it proposes Collaborative Project Based Learning as an inclusive strategy focused on learning, protagonism and active participation of learners.
