Abstract
In this research project, the importance of experimentation as a methodology for the learning process of reaction stoichiometry in students of the Unified General Baccalaureate (BGU) is addressed. The main objective of the research work is to explore how experimental work can facilitate the understanding of complex chemical concepts. To achieve this purpose, a methodological intervention proposal based on practical experiments was implemented. These experiments focused on applying the theoretical knowledge acquired in class to real-life situations, thus fostering meaningful and practical learning. The results obtained showed that experimentation effectively contributes to improving the understanding of the subject studied. Greater interest, active participation and knowledge retention were observed when this methodology was used, compared to conventional methodologies. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of integrating experimentation into the chemistry learning process, especially in topics such as stoichiometry.
