Abstract
This work is based on the importance of phonological processing based on communication skills and aims to contribute with didactic activities in the area of language comprehension and expression for the phonological processing of 4-year-old infants of the "Ciudad de Cuenca" Early Education Center.
Phonological processing has been theoretically grounded by authors such as Piaget (1968), Bassi (2015), Montealegre and Forero (2006), Piñas et al. (2020), among others. As a reference for the predictive test, Cuetos (2017), who was the author of the technique, was taken into account. On the other hand, the research approach is qualitative, with a heuristic paradigm, applied type and with a case study method. A table of diagnostic categories was used and techniques and instruments were used to collect information such as participant observation, interview, observation guide, test and field diary, which were applied to the infants of the institution. Finally, from the implementation of the didactic activities belonging to the pilot, it was found that most of the infants belonging to the group showed difficulties in terms of the categories that make up phonological processing. Therefore, stimulation is required to correct these deficits before entering the school level.
