Abstract
This article presents university students perceptions regarding a deaf person inclusion experience at an university classroom context. The research methodology was qualitative, it included participation of 53 university students from two classes in the third semester of the Basic Education degree at Universidad Nacional de Educación. The experience included a prior planning that considered the participation of the classroom tutor teacher and a Ecuadorian Sign Language interpreter teacher, this organization facilitated activities and materials selection for the development of classroom experience shared with university students and a deaf person. The study analyzed the students’ perceptions about an inclusion process. The results obtained from two focus groups make visible various aspects perceived by the participants, among them: limitations that a deaf person has in the inclusive process, proposals for solutions to carry out inclusion, and the thoughts about the experience itself as future teachers who could Palabras clave: discapacidad, universidad, actitud, inclusión, persona sorda face diversity in a classroom.
