Abstract
The research addresses a topic of great interest, relevance and relevance for Ecuadorian education, since it is related to the preparation of the family in the stimulation of oral language in a six-year-old child. The work arises from one of the problems found in the pre-professional practices during the 8th and 9th cycle of the Bachelor of Special Education, which were carried out at the “Unit of Diagnosis, Psych pedagogical Research and Inclusion Support” (UDIPSAI). In this institution, a child with difficulties in the development of oral language was treated, which became the case that we attended from the pedagogical point of view. To solve the problem, the general objective was to propose orientation activities for the preparation of the family in the stimulation of oral language in a six-year-old child. The study is built from the qualitative approach, applying the methodology of the case study. The techniques used are: document analysis, participant observation, field diaries, semi-structured interview and speech therapy examination, which revealed that: the family context is not capable of dealing with the language difficulties presented by the child. For this reason, a guide for family orientation activities is built, based on cooperative work, as an instrument that allows the preparation of parents so that they support the solution of their children's oral language problems. The investigation allowed us to arrive at theoretical conclusions that supported the proposal, methodological to deepen the problem of the case and pedagogical with the construction of the guide for family orientation.
