Abstract
The purpose of this research project is to promote the knowledge and habits of healthy eating in boys and girls from 3 to 4 years of initial education sub level II and their families in the Luis Cordero educational institution through a pedagogical proposal. This topic of study was considered because food must be present in the educational field to train infants to develop properly, promoting healthy eating habits in early childhood that will last throughout their lives in the future. The methodology used is qualitative, applied-action, research type with a socio-critical paradigm. In this sense, a semi-structured interview will be applied to the professional tutor to investigate the knowledge that she has about the object of study as well as, to collect data that she gives us about the children's eating habits, a checklist for the observation of what are the eating habits of the infants and finally a survey of 18 questions with alternatives of open and closed answers will be applied as a means of complement to gather more information on the subject. Based on this, the educational intervention proposal “I grow healthy” was designed, which has as its objective that both families, teachers, and children of initial education strengthen their knowledge about the importance of adequate nutrition in the infant stage through a food didactic guide. Subsequently, this proposal was implemented, which collected favorable and positive results for the investigative process. Finally, as a conclusion, it is established that the issue of food should be always treated as a subject of study with children during their educational process since it will allow them to develop in an integral way and that in the future, they do not suffer from common diseases that arise around malnutrition.
