Abstract
The learning of concepts in students with hearing impairment is a complex process that is formed in thought. This population faces difficulties for their acquisition due to mild or deep ear involvement, therefore, they lose important information from the environment. At each stage of growth the child develops his intellectual capacity, not being stimulated in time affects language and thought. According to Piaget, the learning of concepts in the stage of concrete operations requires experience with concrete objects; In this way, the child internalizes that each object has characteristics, a socially designated name, and is expressed through oral, written, or sign words. For the above considerations, The objective of this work is to propose an intervention program to stimulate the learning of concepts through semantic fields in a 4th EGB student with hearing impairment from the "Claudio Neira Garzón" Special Education Unit. The methodology responds to the interpretive hermeneutic paradigm, the qualitative approach with the single case study method and the application of techniques such as: semi-structured interview, participant observation and bibliographic review. Also, instruments such as: interview questionnaire, field diary, observation guide and bibliographic review sheet: which served in data analysis and triangulation. In conclusion, to solve the problem, the activities will allow the student to learn concepts in a significant and systematic way,
