Abstract
The present research aims to propose the use of RStudio software in the teaching-learning process of descriptive statistics in the subjects of study. The design and application are carried out in the Luis Cordero Educational Unit, located in the city of Azogues. The research is focused on the socio-critical paradigm, with a self-reflective character and a mixed approach. The first section corresponds to the diagnosis to identify the problems in the classroom taken as an intentional sample. Subsequently, the review of bibliographical sources contributed to the research. The techniques used for data collection are: evaluations, focus group, interview and survey. The results of the diagnosis determined the relevance of the intervention proposal to solve the identified problem. Afterwards, the design and application of the proposal involved evaluating the level of learning achieved through a qualitative and quantitative evaluation, obtaining positive results in the indicators. The proposal developed is flexible, so it can be adapted to other educational contexts to be applied and evaluated.
