Abstract
This research is aimed to develop a methodological alternative to promote the teaching-learning process of children with Down syndrome in the subject of Language and Literature in the second year of Basic General Education, class "B," at Unidad Educativa Particular Universitaria de Azogues. A theoretical review on the main contributions in relation to Down syndrome, the psycho-pedagogical characteristics, as well as their potential for inclusive education in the teachinglearning process of language and literature has been carried out, from an inclusive point of view. The research work has a mixed method approach of a descriptive type. It is based on field research and direct bservation, which is founded on the inductive method. The study population consist of 20 male and female students. The finished proposal will allow teachers to improve the inclusion process as they will be furnished with a practical guide to direct the teaching-learning process in the area of Language and Literature.
