Abstract
The Curricular Integration Work called: development of healthy eating habits of the families of 3 year old infants of the Herlinda Toral Educational Unit from Popular Education contributed to the development of healthy eating habits through the pedagogy called Popular Education which is excellent for working with adults. The general objective was to propose a methodological strategy that contributes to the development of healthy eating habits of the legal representatives of the 3-year-old children of the "B" parallel of the Herlinda Toral Educational Unit. The research was based on the theory of various authors with the contribution of Bajaña et al. (2017) who state the importance of infant feeding, in turn Villares and Galiano (2015) contribute with the dietary needs of infants. As for the methodology, it was based on the case study starting from a socio-critical paradigm, complying with a qualitative approach. The information was collected through the application of the focus group, the interview and the photographic anecdotal record. Based on this, the educational intervention proposal called "Happy Food for a Happy Mind" was designed and applied with the purpose of contributing to the development of healthy eating habits through workshops aimed at legal representatives that contemplate healthy food in the school snack or lunch of infants. It was carried out through piloting, applying the first workshop called "I know about food" through the Zoom platform, resulting in a virtual learning space in order to strengthen healthy eating habits in the snacks sent daily, Finally, it is concluded that promoting food development habits influences learning, it is also important to give more prominence to this issue in the educational field, since it contributes to the integral development of infants.
