Abstract
This research work arises from the need to develop mathematical logical thinking in students of the seventh year of EGB of an educational unit in Azogues. The development of mathematical logical thinking is necessary for the cognitive development of children, since they acquire mathematical skills that are useful for their personal development. One of the most remarkable skills that the student obtains through the development of logical thinking is problem solving. For the development of this research, it was useful to explore documents and research that provided us with information and helped us generate new ideas to intervene in a timely manner in the situation of the identified problem. For the methodological design, we started from a socio-critical paradigm, under a qualitative approach and the action research method. This research structure helped us to understand the situation raised through the direct relationship with the study actors. The use of different techniques and instruments for collecting information provided the perception of the students, the teacher and the Ministry of Education through the education curriculum about the object of study. For this, didactic sequences containing activities that helped to stimulate said thinking and in turn reinforce the mathematical contents that the children had already acquired, but did not remember, were elaborated. The activities were created using the essential math skills of the 7th year of EGB. Logic games were proposed that would help the student to arouse their interest in developing the activities and stimulate their logical thinking.
