Abstract
The present research project was born from direct observation in the pre-professional practices carried out in the Educational Unit "Julio María Matovelle", where it was supported, accompanied and experimented in the seventh year of EGB, in Mathematics, which It allowed practitioners to propose an innovation project on the integration of ICT as a teaching resource with the help of PBL as a strategy, because the way of teaching was not very participatory. It is posed as a question of the study of How to contribute to the improvement of the teaching-learning process with the integration of ICT in the area of mathematics? The methodology used corresponds to the mixed, qualitative approach because an attitude questionnaire was applied to the students and an interview with the teacher and quantitative because the result is evidenced through qualifications. A review of theoretical sources was made about ICT in education, PBL, academic performance, among others; with the purpose of having a support that supports the application of this project called "Mathematics: A didactic proposal to improve academic performance "During its application, the students participated actively during the classes, the way of using the applications caught their attention and in the Post-test they demonstrated having understood the different topics, showing that a good teaching-learning process was carried out, giving as result in improvement in their academic performance.
