Abstract
The present investigation has the objective of proposing a logopedic intervention plan to correct the functional dyslalia in students with intellectual disabilities inside real learning environments. The methodology used is raised from the case study method and the qualitative approach, which has allowed the use of the following research techniques: non-participant observation, the research bibliography, the documental research, and the interview. The applied techniques correspond with the following instruments: field diary, bibliographic file, informs of language therapy, and the interview guide. The results that were given by the application of these instruments indicate that the analyzed case presents symptomatology of functional dyslalia with the following characteristics: superior costal breathing persistent, difficulty synchronizing their breathing with phonation, difficulty pronouncing diphthongs and reverse syllables, and finally, the distortion of the phoneme /r/ and its diphones: /dr/ and /gr/.
