dc.description | Strengthening self-care skills in students with Cerebral Palsy (CP) is essential to promote independence and quality of life. The present research consists of analyzing the self-care skills of students with Cerebral Palsy of the Academic Functional 2 of the Institute of Cerebral Palsy of Azuay “IPCA”. In this population, a limited development in specific self-care skills such as lack of personal hygiene, sphincter control, clothing, feeding and personal grooming was evidenced. Therefore, the objective of designing a proposal to reinforce self-care skills in students with Cerebral Palsy through a system of activities has been proposed, thus seeking to directly benefit students with CP, and indirectly to parents, teachers and society in general. Within our theoretical framework we will analyze various approaches to Cerebral Palsy according to the different criteria of the authors investigated, including a theoretical review of the types, characteristics and levels of support of students with CP. The methodology used is of qualitative approach, with a socio-critical paradigm and a multiple case study method from action research, to address the current problems observed in the classroom of the Academic Functional 2 of IPCA. This socio-critical paradigm will allow participatory research and promote critical reflection in the educational community. For data collection, techniques and instruments such as interviews, field diary, observations, among others, will be used in order to analyze, synthesize and describe in detail the information obtained. The approach of this research is distinguished by four fundamental phases: diagnosis of the situation, development of the action plan, observation and reflection. Each of these points were fundamental to give an answer and a possible solution to the proposed objectives, in the same way, it is intended that the system of activities be implemented for a noticeable improvement in their self-care skills in students with Cerebral Palsy to provide them with greater autonomy, and a life with quality and welfare. | |
dc.description.abstract | Reforzar las habilidades de autocuidado en los estudiantes con Parálisis Cerebral (PC) es fundamental para promover la independencia y la calidad de vida. La presente investigación consiste en analizar las habilidades de autocuidado que poseen los estudiantes con Parálisis Cerebral del Funcional Académico 2 del Instituto de Parálisis Cerebral del Azuay “IPCA”. En esta población se evidencio un escaso refuerzo de las habilidades de autocuidado como falta de aseo personal, control de esfínteres, vestimenta, alimentación y arreglo personal. Por ello, se ha planteado el objetivo de diseñar un sistema de actividades para reforzar las habilidades de autocuidado en estudiantes con Parálisis Cerebral, buscando así promover la independencia y la calidad de vida de los estudiantes con PC. Dentro del marco teórico analizaremos diversos enfoques sobre la Parálisis Cerebral según los diferentes criterios de los autores investigados, incluyendo una revisión teórica de los tipos, características y niveles de apoyo de los estudiantes con PC. La metodología usada es de enfoque cualitativo, con un paradigma sociocrítico y un método de investigación acción, para abordar los problemas actuales observados en el aula del Funcional Académico 2 del IPCA. Para la recolección de datos, se utilizarán técnicas e instrumentos tales como entrevistas, diario de campo, observaciones, entre otros, con el fin de analizar, sintetizar y describir detalladamente la información obtenida. | |
