Abstract
This conference aims to reflect and analyze the impact of GeoGebra on professional development, the mathematics faculty and part of an institutional research project of the Eureka 4i group. The latest news has awakened the interest of many mathematicians, researchers, educators and teachers of mathematics, the integration of ICT in mathematics education. Internationally there were more than 15,000 articles on GeoGebra between 2012 and 2017. The 15th Inter-American Congress of Mathematics Education (CIAEM, 2019) was held at the University of Medellin, Colombia, from May 5 to 10, 2019, in which 400 works have been presented, of which 72 were on ICT and of them 42 on GeoGebra. However, little is known about the impact of ICT (GeoGebra) on the educational process. In Ecuador, in the last two years a Continuing Education course of "GeoGebra as a didactic resource for the teaching of mathematics in Basic Education" has been started in a bimodal way: face-to-face and virtual part. It is one of the activities of the Ecuadorian Institute of GeoGebra based at the National University of Education with the Ministry of Education and the Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos (OEI).
