Abstract
In the educational audit process to the institutions of Ecuador, the quality standards are taken into account (Ministry of Education of the Republic of Ecuador, 2013), issued by the Ministry of Education for the evaluation process, this research was carried out to make the design of an evaluation instrument used by the Auditors, specifically, to evaluate the Institutional Educational Project (PEI), this being the most important document within any educational community. It is established that these documents are prepared from the central plant of the Ministry of Education by a group of technicians, these instruments are confidential and used only by educational auditors working in the Ministry of Education, for which an evaluation instrument is designed. of the PEI based on interviews with Directors and Auditors, in order to improve it in the last stage, understanding that for its respective preparation the managers use a systematic qualitative method which is updated from time to time, to comply with quality standards and the advances that are presented in education. During this research it was found that educational institutions handle PEI implementation guides based on quality standards (Ministry of Education of the Republic of Ecuador, 2013), which facilitates compliance with the provisions of laws and ministerial agreements, facilitating auditors to proceed to evaluate accurately according to compliance and development of activities within the institutions.
