Abstract
Environmental education is scarce in today's schools, which underscores the importance of integrating it from early childhood to foster green attitudes in young children. It is crucial that early education not only encompasses civic and environmental values, but that these are constantly reinforced at home, at school and in the community. The objective of this study is to strengthen ecological awareness through daily habits in children of the Inicial II sublevel of CEI Alberto Astudillo Montesinos, using a didactic guide designed specifically for this purpose. It is based on theories supported by the Ministry of the Environment, UNESCO and other authors, adopting a qualitative methodology that includes various techniques and instruments for data analysis through categorization, codification and methodological triangulation. The didactic guide "Little guardians of the environment" proposes playful and meaningful activities that promote daily habits for the protection of nature. The evaluation of the proposal was carried out through interviews, participant observation and focus groups, concluding that the students increased their ecological awareness thanks to the activities proposed in the didactic guide.
