Abstract
The Curricular Integration Work, presented here, is based on the experiences lived during the process of pre-professional practice developed in the “República del Ecuador” School of the Cuenca, particularly in the fourth year of EGB, parallel "A" of the morning session, in blended mode. This project has the purpose of contributing to the strengthening of literacy in students who are in the last grade of the basic elementary sublevel, due to the fact that important shortcomings were detected in reading and writing fluency, in the recognition, processing, pronunciation and decoding of words. Therefore, the research is socio-critical, assumed from a qualitative approach with a field design and an action research method, which served to collect and interpret information from this school context through four data collection techniques and instruments: participant observation with the field diaries; diagnostic and ipsative evaluation with a guide of questions presented in worksheet format; and the interview with a questionnaire of semi-structured questions. Each one of them was built based on the study categories and analysis indicators proposed both in the theoretical framework and in the operationalization of variables. In this way, the need arose to design, implement and evaluate a proposal for Ecuadorian children's literature workshops to strengthen and/or stimulate reading and writing skills, based on skills with performance criteria LL.2.5.1., LL.2.5 .2., LL.2.5.4. and LL.2.5.5., established in the basic elementary curriculum.
