Abstract
It is essential to understand the relationship between human beings, nature and the cultural and historical world that surrounds them, in the context of which we live, through exploration and discovery. This is how Common Worlds Pedagogy emerged, originally from Canada, which is addressed at the Santana Educational Unit. The research aims to analyze the pedagogy and its contextualization to the Ecuadorian curriculum, since this pedagogy awakens interest in researching its didactic principles and its applicability to the Ecuadorian context, based on various theoretical references, such as the MINEDUC, Verónica Paccini, Cristina Delgado, UNESCO among others. The following topics were also addressed, the dimension of environments, areas of the natural and cultural environment and curricular principles established by the MINEDUC and more. Methodologically, it is based on an interpretive paradigm, with a qualitative approach, involving a case study. The following techniques and instruments were used, participant observation together with field diaries, semi-structured interview with a previous guide of questions. The aim is to obtain as a result a systematization of the didactic principles and analyze how they are contextualized to the Ecuadorian curriculum. To do this, an observation guide is developed regarding the activities used by the teachers and activities are designed and implemented by the practitioners, which are based on the Common Worlds pedagogy and contextualized to the curriculum, to finally systematize and disseminate the information in an educational blog.
