Abstract
Language allows human beings to express their own thoughts and needs and a language disorder can cause problems for clear communication. Usually the first concern of parents and relatives of a child with a pronunciation disorder is that he/she pronounces badly, because he/she is spoiled, lacks stimulation and they assure that he/she will speak better through out time. Objective: To propose a booklet of activities aimed at parents and based on articulatory exercises, for the correction of pronunciation disorders in 5-year-old children. The methodology of the research is qualitative and descriptive, which was applied through the Case Study Method as a tool to record and measure the behaviors of a girl who attends the Diagnostic Unit of Psychopedagogical Research and Support for Inclusion (UDIPSAI) belonging to the Universidad Católica de Cuenca. As a technique that complements the case study, a logopedic exploration guide, the analysis of the UDISAI psycho-pedagogical report, the interview with the mother and the participant observation were applied. The main conclusion is that the activity booklet aimed at parents and based on articulatory exercises for the correction of pronunciation disorders for a 5-year-old girl can be a valuable tool in the process of communication and language stimulation, to improve her socialization process and personality development.
