Abstract
The present investigation has as object of study the didactic audio-visual Resources for the teaching and learning of the social Sciences. Its general objective is to propose the use of audiovisual didactic resources, through a system of activities, for the learning of social sciences in the third grade of EGB of the Educational Unit "La Inmaculada". The audiovisual didactic resources that are used are the slides, the videos, the music, the software, the documentary and the online radio. The methodology is based on the qualitative approach, using methods and research instruments such as observation, interview, survey, field journal which allow analyzing and determining the problem. The methodological process is organized from the dimension: Use of audiovisual didactic resources, which is studied from three fundamental indicators: knowledge, procedure and motivation. The system of activities is organized in three phases: the elaboration, the application and the evaluation. The main results of the research are the system of activities for the use of audiovisual resources in social sciences, the improvement in knowledge, which are more profound and significant, the strengthening of the use of procedures to work the resource and the procedural skills raised in the curriculum and the increase in demonstrations that show greater motivation, interest and participation. It is concluded that using audiovisual resources in the teaching-learning process of social sciences in the EGB is a beneficial didactic alternative for the improvement of the process.
