Abstract
Education took a 180° turn with the arrival of the COVID-19 virus, and the face-to-face modality took a break for a long time with no expiration date. This is where education moved to the virtual modality, in which the use of technological resources became paramount, regardless of who has access and who does not. It is then, that the present research highlights the application of a didactic strategy for the development of skills with performance criteria in the subject functions for students of 3rd "C" BGU of the UE "Luis Cordero". In the pre-professional practices, a high level of difficulty was detected in solving exercises on the topic of functions, in addition to the fact that the use of virtual platforms in the area of mathematics caused frustration, after not being able to use them correctly in the exercises. Therefore, different phases in the development of the project were carried out, starting with a bibliographic analysis, methodological framework, design and application of a didactic strategy along with an evaluation applied after its implementation. All of this, with the purpose of ensuring that students leave with a good exit profile. In addition, the initiative of the development of the didactic strategy based also on the use of GeoGebra software, resulted in the students' potentiate of their skills and abilities for the resolution of the exercises and analysis of concepts about the topic of functions.
