Abstract
The aim of this research was to implement the Design Thinking methodology with the use of SPSS in the process of learning and evaluation of entrepreneurship and management projects to 64 students of the Juan Bautista Vásquez high school, to contribute to the process of teaching descriptive statistics applied to the development of their academic projects. Based on the theoretical and methodological contributions of Becerra (2020) and Gamboa (2018), as well as indicators based on the national curriculum (2016) for the use of indicators of operationalization of skills within the learning of mathematics. In the same way, a mixed methodology is presented, complemented to the socio-critical paradigm, with an experimental type of research through an initial, final evaluation and an interview. Problems were identified regarding the use of measures of central tendency, in which difficulties in the calculation of basic mathematical operations stand out, as well as the low integration of statistical graphic resources for data interpretation. The use of the Desing Thinking methodology with the use of SPSS, contributed to the improvement in the interpretation of statistical content, data processing and critical thinking for decision-making based on descriptive graphic analysis. Concluding that the strategic combination of active methodologies and statistical software have favored favorable results in the teaching of statistical mathematics, improving their skills in the area of entrepreneurship and management.
