Abstract
Reading comprehension is a very important aspect in students' lives. A student who does not read and does not understand well will have various difficulties such as low academic performance, short-term memory, among others. It is relevant to work and motivate a student to acquire an adequate reading habit. (Fernandez, 2016). That is why within this research the main objective is to improve the teaching-learning process of reading using a web page. Likewise, to respond to the objectives, an investigation was carried out with a Sociocritical paradigm, a qualitative approach, applying various specific instruments such as a pre-test, post-test, checklist, and field diaries. As main techniques we worked with a survey and observation. These instruments and techniques that were applied made it known that there are several indicators that favor student reading, including: Mispronunciation of words, errors in decoding sentences, punctuation marks were not respected, among others. On the other hand, as a proposal of this research, a web page called "Todos a leer y comprender" was created, which contains various resources to work and improve the different levels of reading comprehension of students. At the end of this investigation, it was verified with one of the instruments that the implemented proposal contributed positively to improving the reading comprehension of seventh grade students.
