Abstract
The present research has the general objective of proposing a system of activities for the stimulation of memory, through gamification in students with moderate intellectual disabilities of the Special Educational Unit of Azuay. The theoretical foundations on which this project is based are the following: (Romero, 2021), the (World Health Organization, 2016), García (1997), Vega Guerra (2017), Álvarez (2008), Fuster (2010 ) and the Junta de Andalucía (2008). It was worked through a single case study, with a qualitative approach. The instruments used to collect information were: participant observation, field diary, semi-structured interview, checklist, document analysis. With the result of the diagnosis of the memory of the students, it is evident the difficulties they present when retaining the information given by biological factors of the DIM, and the lack of innovative methodological strategies. For the proposal, the Activity System was elaborated, with the objectives, the development, the materials, the duration, the evaluation, the reward based on the interests and motivations of the students with SID. The methodological guidelines regarding the role of the teacher, the family and the student are detailed. And the number of sessions and the application time that it fulfills. Gamification as an innovative methodology allows the stimulation of memory, generating an improvement within the teaching-learning process, autonomy and independence linked to adaptive behaviors, in different family, social and educational contexts. Finally, a group of recommendations were derived.
