Abstract
The present curricular integration work aims to contribute to an active methodological proposal based on Project-Based Learning (PBL) to address the identified issues in the first and second years of BGU at Luis Cordero High School in the TPL of descriptive statistics. Based on the instruments used for diagnosis, difficulties in content assimilation and developing practical and social skills are evident. Considering the study variables, bibliographical references such as Guamán and Espinoza (2022) are considered, indicating the procedure for implementing PBL in the TPL. On the other hand, the research consists of a methodology comprising a socio-critical paradigm that starts from the educational reality and a mixed approach for data collection and analysis in the first and second years of BGU. Based on the above, the intervention proposal titled "The Problem as a Manageable Challenge for Descriptive Statistics" is developed in three phases: planning, execution, and evaluation, following the steps of PBL to address the identified limitations. Based on the instruments applied after the intervention, the obtained results were significant, concluding with the effectiveness of PBL as a methodology capable of strengthening students' knowledge and practical and social skills.
