Abstract
This project applies to the managerial skills developed in the Specialization in Quality Management in Education. It focuses on the role of directive leadership in managing the improvement of teaching practices and learning. From the context of the Padre Juan Bautista Aguirre School, the research revolves around the need to develop teaching capacities for the use of active methodologies with ICT in the teaching-learning processes of Natural Sciences of the Elementary sub-level. The objective that guides the research is to innovate the teaching practice by resorting to the use of active methodologies with ICT in the teaching-learning processes. First, a theoretical referential framework was set up to broaden the understanding of the problem, derive key categories of analysis, and continue with the research process. Then, from the logic of participatory action research, we proceeded to diagnose the training needs of teachers in the use of active methodologies with ICT. Based on the diagnosis, a teacher training program led by the director was designed, implemented and evaluated. The results achieved are encouraging, in terms of the development of technological competences, reflections and learning of managers, teachers and students.
