Abstract
The present investigation was carried out in 1st EGB, morning section of the School "Isaac A. Chico" which has 36 students, 16 women and 20 men. To investigate the problem, the qualitative approach was used, taking as a design the Participating Action Research, with the purpose of transforming a reality from the diagnosis. After the analysis of the interview, the Picq and Vayer psychomotor examination, and the field diary, it was diagnosed that children have difficulties to perform different activities based on psychomotor skills, this being an important point for learning and developing skills. That can avoid possible academic problems in the future was considered to elaborate a didactic guide. In order to contribute to the problems highlighted in the students, art is considered as a means that contributes to the strengthening of psychomotor skills and allows the teaching-learning process to be creative and dynamic. For this purpose, artistic activities were validated by means of a checklist, later to be translated into a didactic guide as support for the teachers of the 1st General Basic Education (EGB).
