Abstract
This guide is designed for teachers who have the responsibility of guiding children of elementary education, because it depends to a large extent on the first years of basic education to awaken interest in reading in our students. Currently there is a lack of habits of reading in general one of the factors that affect is the lack of motivation to reading in homes parents are not good readers, tirelessly in the classroom teachers seek different active methodological strategies to awaken the love of reading which is the main goal with our students, is therefore through different motivating activities students entered the characters of different children's literary texts becoming the main protagonists of the scenes leaving aside the fear of unfolding in front of an audience, in conclusion the children felt committed to continue improving or in reading habits, teachers must be persistent and provide the necessary tools to enhance in them imagination, curiosity, memory, and develop preferences in literary taste.
