Abstract
This pedagogical proposal is aimed at implementing methodological strategies through the application of innovative activities inside and outside the classroom to improve reading comprehension in the different texts in sixth grade children of the School "Carcelén" morning section. With the research carried out, it has been concluded that teachers should be open to suggestions and new changes in the implementation of new strategies of reading comprehension, that is to say letting go of traditionalism and paying attention to the critical and active thinking of students who it helps them for life. Students' reading skills must be developed so that they can give their own points of view in a critical and reasoning way. Teachers should promote reading as a habit that must take root in people, which should become a daily activity, as it is used is acquiring more knowledge, and improves reading comprehension skills.
