Abstract
This Curricular Integration Work refers to the plastic arts which has the objective of “Proposing and developing the plastic arts as an active methodology for the motivation for learning of the first-year Baccalaureate students of the Javier Loyola Educational Unit. Given that in the development of the professional practices a certain lack of motivation was detected when carrying out the various tasks related to the ECA area, various artistic languages (drawing, painting, sculpture) were used in the content of the proposal to the making of masks, taking the Tigua community as a reference. Through these creations, it has been possible to promote creativity, collaborative work and the active participation of students through various activities. The study was based on a qualitative approach with an exploratory, descriptive and interpretive level, through the use of various instruments and techniques for data collection, such as participant observation, field diaries and focus groups, applied to a total of 15 students. After the application of the pedagogical intervention proposal, the result was that associating different artistic branches strengthened motivation in the area of ECA, since the students showed greater involvement, greater participation, and a better relationship between colleagues, reflected in the final product that The proposed activities were obtained from each one.
