Abstract
The research entitled Reinforcement activities with the Pólya method to contribute to partially achieved mathematical skills in students of the 2nd Unified General Baccalaureate (BGU) of the Juan Bautista Vásquez Educational Unit, is based on the contributions of Araujo (2010), for the conceptualization of the skills on which they work and supported by Pólya (1965), through the Pólya method, for the resolution of problems that contribute to the achievement of the skills [Ref. M.5.1.10., M.5.3.1., M.5.2.3., M.5.1.55., M.5.2.17.]. The objective of this research is to strengthen the resolution of problems that contribute to the achievement of mathematical skills. In the aforementioned institution, when investigating prior knowledge, deficiencies in the achievement of skills of 2nd baccalaureate students were identified. Based on this situation, an intervention was designed to strengthen certain mathematical skills using the Pólya method, aimed at third-year high school students. To develop the study, a socio-critical paradigm was adopted, a mixed approach that combines qualitative and quantitative tools to analyze the results. In addition, a control and experimental group was started. From the pretest evaluation, the need arose to carry out a didactic intervention; for this, a plan of reinforcement activities with the Pólya method was generated and implemented in the experimental group for five sessions. With the application of the post-test and other instruments, when analyzing the results, it showed a significant improvement, since the experimental group increased its average from 2.79 to 6.26 out of 10. This indicates the effectiveness of the proposal in achieving the objectives. skills assessed.
