Abstract
The degree work called “Interdisciplinarity (IDP) and Contextualization (CT) of the Multiplication of Natural Numbers in the Fourth Year Basic General Education Curriculum” follows the innovation project line, which is under the qualitative approach and method used was the action research. The process sought to improve the interdisciplinarity and contextualization of the contents presented in the fourth year of Basic General Education; working from the reality of the students, integrating this knowledge to the Mathematics and Natural Sciences subjects generate (IDP); contextualization arouses interest, analysis and creativity in the student, since the activities designed under the theories of the Vygotsky Development Zone and significant learning of Ausubel showed significant advances in student learning. In addition to recognizing the relationship between the subjects and their importance for their daily activities, to conclude it can be affirmed that IDP and CT help improve student learning.
