Abstract
The following research aims to develop artistic learning through identity and cultural knowledge of Ecuador through the methodological strategy of project-based learning, where the teacher is the mediator and the students develop their own learning, acquiring the necessary knowledge, skills and aptitudes within their teaching and learning process. The research methodology is guided by the qualitative approach, which allowed us to understand the social and educational context in which the research was conducted, as well as to analyze the educational environment of the teacher and the students. Similarly, techniques such as participant observation, semi-structured interview and focus group were used, as well as instruments such as field diaries, photographic record, interview guide and focus group guide in order to obtain essential data of the research process. On the other hand, the research participants were 38 people, as a result of the methodological application of project-based learning proved to be a key component in the educational context of the area of cultural and artistic education ECA, since the students of the sixth year of Secondary Basic Education of the Sayausi Educational Unit built and reinforced their knowledge about the Raymis as a didactic potential for the development of artistic experiences; in conclusion, they created several artistic products that were used as a didactic potential for the development of artistic experiences.
