Abstract
This research emerges from the need of change that exists in the new way of teaching and learning in the context of the COVID 19 pandemic, which brings new opportunities to the Open-Education approach. The research problem lies in the lack of strategies contextualized to the current educational reality, which provoke the development of reading comprehension skills of 2nd grade students. This project stands on the the innovation field, as a Technodidactic Strategy proposal for the development of reading comprehension skills in 2nd grade in elementary level students. It is theoretically framed by current research on Technopedagogy by Rojas and Alvarado (2017), Technodidactics by Duque and Ospina (2016) and by contributions from Gutiérrez and Salmerón (2012) on reading comprehension strategies for the Elementary Sub-level of the EGB. The objective of this study is to propose strategies based on Technodidactics for reading comprehension in students of 2nd grade attending the private school San Luis Beltrán in Cuenca, Ecuador. The research method used is the Case Study, within the evaluative modality, with the intention of collecting relevant information about the object of study and develop judgments about the reality studied under the qualitative approach; to collect information, techniques and instruments were applied such as: observation-field diaries, interview-question guide, document analysis- record and written test-questionnaire. The results obtained show that the lack of application of Technodidactics makes it difficult for students to develop reading comprehension skills and abilities that allow them to relate to different types of texts, in addition to maintaining effective communication and greater participation in the course of the classes. The proposal is characterized by integrating in a Web Page: a virtual library, games and activities for students to develop reading comprehension, through different strategies. It is concluded that, by proposing contextualized strategies to the current reality and based on Technodidactics, it would allow to transform the design, organization and planning of activities with the support of pedagogy, technology and didactics impacting the reading comprehension process with innovative resources.
