Abstract
The present work on curricular integration addresses the creation of an effective learning environment and the promotion of harmonious coexistence in the Fourth Year of Basic Education at the "Leoncio Cordero Jaramillo" Educational Unit. The research aims to identify the factors influencing the conception of this educational environment and propose a didactic sequence for its improvement. An action research methodology was employed, based on a socio-critical paradigm and a qualitative approach, which allowed for a deep understanding of the context and the implementation of a didactic sequence based on Game-Based Learning. The research emphasizes the importance of a conscious and value-enriching education as a fundamental principle for shaping both knowledge and character. The results revealed the significance of the active role of the teacher, the adaptability of the physical environment, and the flexibility in time management to promote harmonious coexistence and meaningful learning. It was concluded that the implementation of a didactic sequence centered on Game-Based Learning generated a harmonious and participatory educational environment, fostering harmonious coexistence and enriching the academic and social development of the student.
