Abstract
The holistic approach to diversity and cultural inclusion enable education and learning for life, in particular for those involved in education for youth and adults (EPJA, for its acronym in Spanish) in Ecuador. The theoretical contributions considered in this study are those of Maldonado (2018), Guédez (2005), and part of popular education, and critical pedagogy postulates. The methodology used consists on interpretive paradigm, qualitative approach, and biographical-narrative method. The analysis of a life history allows to affirm that the cultural features of a life, in this case, Paúl Vega’s life, who correspond to shuar culture, his personal and multicultural experiences, and his performance as a teacher in training have allowed him a lifelong learning, by passing through educational models external to his culture, in which he preserved features of his practices, but complemented these with others from cultures external to his own.
