Abstract
Parenting is a fundamental part of a child's learning process, yet each child grows up in a different culture and receives various specific contributions from their environment. The objective of this project was "to contribute to the recognition and understanding that parents and the teacher have of the parenting styles identified in parallel A of the morning section at the Initial Education Center "ABC", in order to contribute in improving listening and attention in classroom interactions”. To obtain this information and the quality of the data, a qualitative approach was used in a sociocritical paradigm. The approach uses various types of research and addresses a type of descriptive and interpretative research, which seeks, based on joint reflection, researchers such as teachers and parents, to propose changes in the behavior and interaction of children in the school space. Several methods have been used for this investigation: investigation, observation and analysis. According with the general objectives of the study, it is proposed to "design a workshop focused on identifying and relating the types of parenting with behaviors and attitudes in the school context, thus contributing strategies to improve daily parenting in the homes of the students." When preparing the workshop called “educating to educate”, validation by experts for future implementations is proposed, to improve parenting styles and encourage active listening in children. Concluding then that it´s necessary to encourage families to respect parenting and promote listening in children from an early age, encouraging mutual respect and the horizontal relationship between parents and children.
