Abstract

The general objective of this Curricular Integration Work (ICT) was to apply drawing and painting as teaching tools to strengthen fine motor skills through the subject of Artistic Cultural Education (ECA) in the first year of Technical Baccalaureate (BT). , parallel "A", in the morning session of the "Miguel Merchán Ochoa" Educational Unit. During pre-professional practices, the insufficiency of motor skills in these students was evident. In the ECA subject, the didactic activities related to art are limited, which prevents an effective combination with various materials to acquire artistic skills. The implementation of drawing and painting as a teaching strategy allowed us to strengthen fine motor skills and develop motor skills in the students. Regarding the methodology of this research, a qualitative approach was used along with an action research design and the comparative method and the socio-critical paradigm. The techniques used for data collection were participant observation, interview, and photography with their respective instruments; field diaries, the semi-structured question guide and the photographic record. In conclusion, the implementation of drawing and painting as a teaching strategy yielded positive results for strengthening fine motor skills and developing motor skills. The students improved the coordination of their hands and fingers, demonstrating correct handling, and produced artistic works as evidence, which confirms the importance of this proposal within the ECA subject.
