Abstract
The present investigation seeks to reflect the existence of the relation of academic performance with the nutritional status of the students of the Superior Basic Education in the Herlinda Toral Educational Unit. In the same way, it seeks to respond to the problems that students present in the learning process. The theoretical framework of this research will be based on scientific sustenance, because valuable concepts and contributions from different bibliographical sources will be addressed. A type of explanatory and descriptive methodology was implemented, a mixed approach, because in the analysis of the results the academic performance and the nutritional status are correlated, the means of the different techniques and the instruments as the written answers on the alimentary habits. and academic performance, that the collection of necessary information.
