Abstract
The educational audit is an evaluation process where the actors of the institution are accountable through evaluation mechanisms designed by the national educational administration.
The perceptions and beliefs about this evaluation by teachers and managers have been little explored in Ecuador and it is very important to analyze it, since these perceptions depend on the way in which the results are faced. In this work, a study of the perception of the audit was carried out in the teachers of the CECIB of Basic Education "Arturo Quesada Mendieta" of Nabón. A mixed methodology was considered, applying surveys and interviews to the teachers and the principal for the respective analysis. Four perspectives were evaluated: improvement, irrelevance, quality of teaching and performance. The results obtained are the different points of view in relation to the educational audit, of which the majority are favorable and consider that this process contributes to educational improvement. Not differences were detected in the way of perceiving depending on the gender evaluation, the years of teaching or the educational level of the teachers.
