Abstract
The present investigation is focused on the evaluation of the fulfillment of the directive professional performance standards of the "Educational Unit Nicanor Aguilar Maldonado", through the application of matrices that were elaborated based on the guidelines established in the current National Educational Regulations. Regarding the techniques and instruments that were used to triangulate the information, observation, conversations, interviews and documentary analysis stand out, therefore, the findings were determined by applying specific indicators and criteria based on evidence. In effect, the field research allowed establishing the status of compliance with the Educational Quality standards. At the end of the external evaluation, it was identified that the educational institution is in the 50% quantitative and qualitative situation: in process (yellow). Consequently, internal monitoring, follow-up and evaluation processes must be implemented in order to improve institutional educational quality.
