Abstract
The primary objective for the completion of master's thesis is to find strategies, develop teaching-learning techniques to innovate and improve the didactic unit Applications of derivation in modeling problems, which was implemented to students of the 3rd BGU of our Educational unit. It was convenient to carry out the implementation in 4 study sessions giving more emphasis to the applications for being the main object of our study. Considering that the teaching-learning activities are a concatenated process of experiences and experiences of the student-teacher relationship, there were difficulties and setbacks in learning. The main idea was to reduce these setbacks so that learning becomes more significant. As a primary result was to check the progress in learning and understanding of the derivation as a useful tool of Mathematics, because the students understood that it is applicative. The basic conclusion is that with proper planning, motivating classes, more inclusive, applicative, consistent, clear, concise, supported by technology and especially that form the student as a beneficial entity to the community; we can achieve a quality education and warmth.
