Abstract
The Natural Sciences subject offers students the opportunity to explore and understand their environment from a comprehensive vision of the world. Through the study of natural phenomena, they not only acquire specific knowledge, but also develop the ability to interpret reality from different perspectives. The research work in this context aims to deepen the understanding of these phenomena and, at the same time, contribute to the development of critical and scientific skills in students. Project-Based Learning (PBL) is presented as an innovative pedagogical methodology that allows students to acquire knowledge and develop practical skills by developing projects focused on solving real problems in their natural environment. This methodology encourages active learning, in which they are protagonists of their own learning process, explore, investigate and propose solutions to specific situations. The methodology used in this research is aligned with the socio-critical paradigm, adopting a qualitative approach that seeks not only to understand reality, but also to transform it. This approach is based on the design of Action Research, where research becomes a dynamic process of reflection and action, aimed at the continuous improvement of educational practices. The results obtained show that PBL is a highly effective strategy for the teaching-learning process of Natural Sciences. It not only facilitates the acquisition of knowledge, but also enhances critical thinking, collaborative and autonomous work among students.
