Abstract
The present investigation projects the analysis of the relations that exist between the family and the school at present, seen from the most current conceptions of the learning community. The objective of the work is to propose a set of pedagogical actions to strengthen the integration of the family with the Herlinda Toral Educational Unit, in Cuenca, from the perspective of the learning community. The method used is the case study, the unique type and the observational modality, applied during pre-professional practices to collect and record the relevant information about the topic and perform the critical analysis based on the results used through the use of techniques and instruments assumed from the approach of qualitative research. The results included the weak conception of the role, management, critical dialogue and actions of the family and of the educational institution itself for its integration from the assumed technical assumptions of the learning community. The proposed pedagogical actions project the management of the school and the family to move towards the achievement of the necessary integration that promotes a learning community. The main conclusion of the work raises the need for change that must be fulfilled both in school and in the family to achieve a contextualized integration to the current social situation.
