Abstract
The present work aims to improve the labour competences of students in the second year of the Technical Baccalaureate, specialising in Accounting, applying the Project Based Learning didactic strategy. Using, in addition, the accounting software "Odoo". To achieve this objective, a qualitative methodology based primarily on a social-critical paradigm was used. Techniques and instruments such as observation, document analysis, interview and survey were used to gather information. We worked with 30 students in the subject Accounting and Tax Packages, from the technical area of Services, with the professional figure of Accounting, from the Herlinda Toral Educational Unit, located in the city of Cuenca. An interview with the responsible authority of the pedagogical part was carried out, which is the Mrs. Vice-rector of the Institution, the same one that demonstrates the interest of the authorities in the acquisition of the labour competences of our students, but unfortunately the Mrs. Vice-rector was changed. In order to make a diagnosis of the level of the students' labour competences, an initial test was applied (pre test) and after applying the Project Based Learning didactic strategy, a final test was applied (post test) with the purpose of determining what were the improvements in the students' labour competences. In this way, it was demonstrated that with the application of the Project Based Learning didactic strategy, 90% of the students were able to develop the work competencies proposed for this degree work.
