Abstract
Creating suitable environments for students with hearing impairments is essential to facilitate their interaction within the educational setting and promote meaningful learning. This research focuses on the question: How can receptive language be strengthened in a hearing-impaired student from Classroom 2 of the Nicolás Vásquez Special Education Unit? The primary objective is to design learning environments that enhance the receptive language of the student H.V. The theoretical foundation addresses aspects related to hearing impairment, receptive language, and the learning environment, highlighting that the development of vocabulary and language comprehension is crucial for the student to interact effectively in everyday situations. This optimizes her understanding of concepts and enables her to follow instructions. The research adopts a hermeneutic-interpretive paradigm with a qualitative approach that aligns with the observed reality. The case study method was used, applying data collection techniques such as observation guides, interviews, and field diaries, which were essential in identifying trends. To validate the proposal, specialists were consulted who confirmed that the work meets the student's needs and only requires minimal adjustments. In conclusion, the design of inclusive learning environments will not only increase the student's knowledge but also improve her information acquisition and optimize her interaction within the educational setting, constituting a relevant, necessary, and innovative proposal.
